お米好きが始まりでした。
お米を食べると自ずと手元に残る米袋。
何だか丈夫で捨てられない。
そこでユーズドの米袋を小物にリメイクすることを始めました。
本来の役割を終えた米袋。
その素材は使うたびに味が出る面白味があります。
maimaiはプラスチックごみ削減にも貢献していきたいと思います。
The beginning was my love for rice.
Paper bags for rice storage always remain after eating rice.
How I can throw them away when they are still strong and usable?
I started to make small hand-made articles
from these paper storage bags.
Paper bags whose initial role have ended.
It is interesting to see their characteristic change as they are used.
maimai hope to make a contribution to the reduction
of plastic waste.
米袋の加工に使用する素材を一つ一つ吟味してきました。
使う人と環境に負担になりにくい植物性の素材。
現在以下を使用し 紙の強度と防水性を増しています。
柿渋 ・ 亜麻仁油 ・ 櫨蝋 ・ カルナバ蝋
I am strictly checking materials for processing the paper bags.
Botanical materials, which are friendly to the environment and people,
are used to make the paper bags stronger and more water-resistant.

I will join the Sumireya market on 3/31(Sunday).
It’s been a while since the last event appearance.
I’m now making bags with combination of paper and cloth that are good for Spring.
The new series ‘maimaiBe’ which I started against inflation will also be lined up.
Delicious, lovely and comfortable merchandises will gather from 8stores on the day.

新商品のご案内 New Item
布付きバッグ（maimai Beシリーズ）
初めての試みで、米袋の紙と布、異素材を組み合わせました。
従来の紙の軽さはそのままに、
新たな気分でお使いいただける品物を目指しました。
縦型、横型とも長財布が入るサイズです。
Bag with cloth（maimai Be）
I combined paper and cloth at the first time.
This new style bag is light same as before.
The size of the bags fits for the long wallet.

二つ折り札入れ（maimai Beシリーズ）
ありがたいことに、ご要望をいただいて制作した、札入れです。
軽く持運びに便利で、出し入れも手軽にできるようなものを、と作りました。
内側と外側にポケットがたくさんついており、
カードや切符を差し込めます。
二つ折りが開かないようゴムで止めるデザインです。

Thankfully, I made this bill case from a request.
It's light to carry and convenient for getting money in and out.
It has many pockets for cards or tickets.

New series 'maimai Be'
このところ、物価高、物流の滞りなど、何かと不安を感じています。
光熱費の検針表の金額にぎょっとしたり、買い物に行っていつもの品物が今日も並んでいるか心配することが日常です。
日々の不安から、maimaiでは安心なものをできるだけ安価に安定してお届けしたい、と思うようになりました。
「安」をキーワードにmaimai Beを始めます。
これまでユーズドの米袋が持つシワ感など独特の風合いを活かすことを試みてきました。
maimai Beでは新品の米袋も使いシンプルで使い勝手が良いデザインを目指して行きます。
米袋小物maimaiをこれからもどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
These days, I feel uneasy about things like the high cost of living or delay of the delivery.
Due to these anxieties, I resolved to supply reliable and less expensive products stably to its customers.
They are a new series 'maimai Be'.
In this series, I aim to create products which are simple and user-friendly from new rice bags.

10月1日からは、お米にまつわる物事を、ローカル、食、サスティナビリティから伝える「ロフコト雑貨店 お米特集」が始まります。
maimaiでも環境に、使う人に、様々な負荷がない物作りを 目指してきました。
SDGsにお米から取組むことにもつながる今回の催しに、強く賛同しています。
maimaiでは今回、バッグと小物、合わせて9アイテムをご用意しました。性別を問わずジェンダーフリーにお使いいただける品物も制作しました。
いよいよ本格的な新米の季節ですね。

紙の軽さを活かしながら、
中に入れたカードが曲がることがないよう、
適度な厚みをもたせました。

There are pockets inside and outside of this card case and they are convenient to put such as tickets in it.
